2/12/19: Film Screening

What a great night! Thanks for everyone that partnered with us and those that participated. Hope this is the first of many events like this to come! Thank you to Amazon Studios and to the Art House Cinema and Pub. So honored to have been given the opportunity to partner with you.

The Event:
Amazon Studios, in collaboration with CrossWay Counseling Center and community groups around the country, is pleased to host a free screening of the award winning film Beautiful Boy.The screening takes place on February 12th and is followed by a livestream Q & A with the films subjects and authors David and Nic Sheff.
The Billings screening will take place at the Art House Cinema and Pub and across the country in 20 cities as part of a national day of awareness to highlight the need to de-stigmatize addiction, support people in recovery, and highlight the importance for community engagement and solidarity in the face of our nation’s opiate crisis.
This film contains graphic depictions of intravenous (IV) drug use. If you have guests early in recovery, plan on viewing with children, or think someone’s recovery could be compromised by exposure to life-like depictions of IV drug use, this film may contain triggers that they might prefer to avoid.
You can still share the important message contained in the film by helping to elevate the conversation around substance use disorder, the importance of accessing treatment and recovery support services, as well as the need to reduce stigma for individuals and families who experience substance use disorder. This Film is rated R.
