Joel Grinder, LCPC


Joel is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since March 2016.  He received his Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University-Billings in 2014.  Joel has been an active member in military service for the past 14 years and continues to serve in a leadership capacity in the United States Army. In the mental health field, Joel began working for Alternative Pre-Release program in 2012 as a case manager, assisting clients completing their treatment goals. After pursuing  his LCPC  in 2014, Joel began working with youth and families as a therapeutic youth home therapist for Youth Dynamics. During his tenure at Youth Dynamics, Joel was promoted to the role of Associate Clinical Director of Residential Services in Billings, MT. In his capacity of Associate Clinical Director he oversaw therapeutic youth homes and the day treatment programs in the Billings and Bozeman area. During his time at Youth Dynamics, he implemented therapeutic treatment models and supervised practitioners in training.  Joel’s past accomplishments include being a certified trainer in Boys Town “Common Sense Parenting”. Joel joined the  CrossWay Counseling Center team in July 2018.

  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy for those who have experienced trauma
